Over the coming weeks and months these pages will be updated with news and articles of interest from the world of removals and house clearances. As you may have already learned from our web site we operate all of our services from within London extending out through the surrounding counties. If you would like anymore information please use the navigation buttons to the left of this page. For the first article I thought I'd set out some information on house clearances as I'm betting most people won't know much about what considerations there are to be made when emptying a house.

With all the fuss in the news recently about waste disposal in this country; debates on wheelie bins, recycling boxes and fortnightly refuse collections etc, it is easy to see how this issue impacts on the house clearances we perform throughout London. During removals and clearances there is a great deal of waste to be disposed of. By Government decree if improperly dumped waste is traced back to your house you will be the one to receive the fine, irrespective of whether you were the one to do the dumping (as it were). This might seem unfair, but the point is to try and encourage people to use companies whose practices are proven to be ethical and lawful (like ours!).

Another important consideration is one of safety. We've all read the horror stories and seen those TV programmes which show how fraudsters can steal your identity just by using a few discarded bills. When employing someone to take charge of any house clearance you should ensure that the correct procedure for incineration is abided by to protect yourself against fraud attacks.

Ultimately house clearances are a matter to be undertaken only by a firm you deem trustworthy. After all there could be some important sentimental or valuable items lurking behind cupboards and under carpets. In any such instance honesty is the best policy and we line our pockets by doing a good job and gaining work through recommendation, not by pawning your previously missing jewellery.
